For anyone that uses the the 60D do you like filming with it and what are the advantages or disadvantages to the swivel LCD screen?

Love it. I would hate not having it.

it makes reviewing shots and overall filming way easier.

I have a gh2, similar style screen, and it is great. On the glidecam I just leave it tucked in, but for any low/high angle stuff with a tripod, it is super convenient

I've got a gh2 and I could imagine not having one they are so useful and if you don't like it just leave it in,

Well the gh2 is better than the 60d regardless so it should be a no brainer...

At first I didn't like swivel screens until I switched from the 7D to the GH2. Now I love it. Aside from being useful for tricky angles, another advantage is that you have the option of closing it with the screen facing in, eliminating the need for a screen protector.

it makes a world of difference. at first i didn't think it would be something i would use a whole lot, but i always use it. its perfect to use handheld run and gun style for me cuz you can kinda cradle it while looking down on the screen. awesome feature

I use it and i think its a great feature, you always have the option to fold it in like any other camera. But the tilt is nice because you can cut out sun glare or easily see the shot at low and high angles without needing an external monitor

How well do different view finders work with the swivel screen?

They work fine you just have to buy a seperate type for it I think.

So i'm hearing a lot of comparison on the Canon 60D and the GH2. I searched comparison videos and personally I notice that the GH2 has less saturation than the 60D but which camera is overall a better buy?

For video and photo, the 60D.
For primarily video with minor photo usage, the GH2.

i love my 60D cuz i like doin some photography when im not doin videography. but i know there are several people on here that will say they love their GH2. comes down to what you want to get out of it and the flexibility you are looking for imo.

Seen a lot of people hating on the gh2 for photos. The canon 60d is superior, but the gh2 is still very capable. I took this panorama with it (stitched in post), not sure how it will work embedded but here it goes. it just annoys me when people make it seem like it is comparable to a flip phone camera for stills
