Im debating on buying afterbangs. Im more of an intermediate park skier, really just started in park about 2 years ago. I like rails and boxes more then anything but like to take a few slope runs and jumps. I want something thats real poppy and lightweight. What do you guys think??
I was thinking about getting the afterbangs but after more research I found that they were heavy and extremely undurable. So I decided to go with the 2012 k2 domains, there great so far, perfect on boxes and rails, also there great on medium/smLl jumps! Hope this helps
I agree with both of these comments. I had afterbang 178 with marker jesters and they were like tanks on my feet. the cemetrical twin tip design makes them a terrible all mountain ski. go for a k2 recoil or line chronic. in my opinion stay away from the cemetrical twins. the top sheet is painted wood (non existant) and the paint comes off with a fingernail.
last year i had afterbangs.. they delaminated, there really heavy too. i liked them at first, then i switched to the chronic, its a way better ski durability and weight wise. something like the K2 domain or line chronic would be better.
