Scary experience I just woke up from.

So basically I've had alot of shit going on in my life lately, so I've been getting high off of 750 Hydrocodones because they gave me 120 from a recent surgery to get my mind off shit. Well over the past 2 days the bad news and stressful shit has been building up so I came home today and popped 6 of the pills (usually i take 4-5) Well that made my 19th pill since yesterday morning so an hour and a half hour later I threw up in the toilet and apparently passed out cuz I just woke up 2 hours later. Needless to say, done with hydros and done being a dumbass with any substance.

im glad you realized you were being a dumbass. drugs generally wont solve your problems. if youre having anxiety, stress, or depression issues, seek behavioral therapy type of stuff. youll get more out of it long term, than a bandaid solution pharmaceutical.

Clearly I knew they were drugs. I didn't just take a mysterious substance. I have been taking them for about a month now and im assuming my body had just had enough of it.

if you have been popping 5-6 a day for the past month, then you are gonna have a fun timing kicking it man.
And because they are hydros, you probably did some nasty fucking damage to your liver/kidneys.

Well the first week was kinda 2-3. Then my tolerance went up so it went up 3-4 the second week. then the past 2 weeks its been 4-5 but yesterday i went over the edge and had 13. Already threw all them away and have commited to quitting

honestly this is what I went to when quitting pillz because I had nothing else to get fucked up on that was easily attainable. then i just kind of sobered up in general

but i still love painkillers, but know that if I had a script or found some one who had them often, I would be in trouble.

quit now dude. you've got an insanely small habit at this point, thank god. that's not to say that kicking is going to be enjoyable, but you can expect to be fine in 3 days. however, if you continue on this path, it's going to get harder and harder and harder...and take longer and longer and longer. i have a love hate relationship with opiates. by far my favorite drug on the planet, but also the most dangerous substance addiction wise. and i've been around the fucking block...hell, i own the fucking block. i'd go as far as to call it the second most addictive substance on the planet....second only to nicotine.

if you need any advice, someone to talk to, etc. as you go through this, by all means feel free to contact me. no joke. good luck, homie. stay strong brotha.

looks good on paper, but i don't know any opiate addicts that are able to successfully taper off (unless you've got someone to dose you) because if you've got enough to taper, you've got enough to get fucked up one or two more time. realistically, 6 7.5mg vics a day is nothing you need to taper off of...quit cold turkey and just muscle through it. you're looking at 2-3 days of discomfort regardless of whether you taper or not, so just get it over with. and flush/destroy the pills because i guarantee you you will dig them out of the trash the second you start to kick (op).

You're extremely lucky you caught it this early before you figured out how to source them and it became a psychological and physical habit where you can't sleep or function at any level without them. Have no misconceptions getting off them is going to be hell, but it will only last a few days and you will be fine again. However, you should tell your doctor as if you get them again they won't work and you will take more, it's a vicious cycle. If you need someone to talk to about it feel free to PM me I'm going through morphine withdrawal at the moment.

yeah, opiate withdrawals are about the worst thing you can go through, and I'm pretty sure that if you've been using a lot for a long time you can even die from withdrawals from opiates. scary shit dog.

i've never heard of, nor seen anyone have a seizure from opiate withdrawal. and I've seen quite a few people kick NASTY opiate habits. regardless, no, opiate withdrawal is NOT fatal. i'd guess they're using scare tactics when they told you that.

there are only a few drugs on the planet that can kill you from sudden cessation...and that's barbiturates, alcohol and benzo's. sudden cessation of those drugs (after taking a high dose long enough to become physically addicted) can (and are likely) to cause seizures. and as we know, seizures are baaaad. you can become a vegetable...or vegetable food. alcohol and benzo withdrawal require medical supervision so as to avoid having a grand mal...
