Not sure if its been brought up since I cannot read, but I'd like it if you could view all the stuff on the home page without leaving the home page. If it came up overtop of the homepage similar to pictures on Facebook that'd be much easier to go back and forth without navigating a bunch of pages.
Although I get that that cuts down on advertising pages.
I'm sorry I won't talk anymore.

The advertising pages aren't that massive of a concern. As long as we timed it correctly, we could simply up the proportional price of ads, and have less of them. Advertisers wouldn't see any performance difference, and we wouldn't see revenue difference.
Having said that though, its too drastic of a cultural shift to do all at once. Starting down that road is going to mean that the homepage will be somewhere that you just stay on all day long, and you never go anywhere else. Though that is a potential future position for Newschoolers to be in, I'm not positive that its right or people would actually really want that.
Right now it is designed to get you into the various deep sections of the site, where most of the actions happen. Its just a portal through to the regular NS experience. Allowing people to get their content right there changes this, so at least for the time being we're not going to do it.
After we get things tweaked out a bit more, and we really see how a season of this new setup works out, we can look at different setups for the future.
