Ski by yourself?

Does anyone on here ever go skiing by themselves? I've never done it but I probably would if I couldn't find anyone to go with lol

I absolutely love skiing alone. but i generally only get to do it when I am on family vacations, i crank the tunes and progress so much. but when im at my home hill it seems that I ride alone but I am with a huge crew by lunch time. dont mind that too but i feel so much more confident skiing alone.

wish i could try skiing by myself but i live 2hrs away from any hill.

I think id like it because i love surfing alone drowning out everything else going on and because my friends dont ski park so its hard for me to get in a lot of practice with them

I've done it once. It was awesome. I probably ski double the amount than I would with a group. No waiting for people, you get to go in the single lines on lifts, and mob through the park at lightspeed.

Solo skiing is awesome. I probly do it 20% of the time and I always look forward to it. Obviously skiing with friends is the shit too but it's a total escape when you're by yourself. You get a ton more runs, you progress way more, and you can turn your headphones up all the way and not care. Never hesitate to ski by yourself if none of your crew can go up

yes only when there is no one i can find to go with me. Plug in the tunes and go. But never backcountry alone...fuck that shit.

A combination between skiing with friends and skiing alone is nice. Sometimes it just feels great to take a few laps by yourself but most of the time i'm with friends.

I usually ski by myself, because my best friend and my life long ski partner passed away 4 years ago, and the rest of my friends are gapers.

Even if I ride up with people, or am meeting up with friends, I regularly ditch at the top of the first chair for a while. I find that I get my rhythm better when I ski the first few laps alone. I love skiing alone though.

Yea its hard, especially remembering all of our childhood ski trips we took. Lots of old memories. I think I am going to get a sticker and put it on one of my skis, so he can always be skiing with me.
Word of advise. Don't mess around with fentanyl its a very dangerous drug.

I ski by myself a lot and it's relaxing and it's fun doing only what you want. That said, I do like skiing with friends... I ski with my dad a lot too, some good father-son bonding. However I do have one question for ya'll, how do you guys ski with music blasting in your ears? To me, it's a really unnerving feeling because I like being able to hear who's skiing around me...

exactly, the quad at saddleback is a great place to just lap casablanca all day with great music playing! whenever i ski by myselfl i get into a great groove, its amazing!

I'm about 50/50 by myself and with friends/family....

Family is getting kind of old so they can't keep up anymore, and my sisters didn't keep up with my progression either. Have lots of friends who can keep up but don't see them always. Usually rip alone for the morning until I meet people, then they will go in for lunch so I'll be ripping alone until I meet more people. Or rip with my family for a little then take off.

Fuck lunch. Waste of ski time, granola and whiskey on the lift.

It is scary when you have a gnarly bail alone though, or get buried up to your chest in snow.

I ski by myself like 75%+ of the time. Most of my friends are pussies who don't ski/snowboard park or just don't ski/snowboard at all.

Last year was my first year skiing freestyle and I am trying to take it a lot more serious this year and really make some progress so if anyone around here lives in the Philly area I'd love to shadow you and learn a couple days.
