nice, politically relevant, mildly humorous, over-done, generalizing and innacurate. totally worth a thread. also you should probably check out the other one that was just made earlier today with the same joke.
The amount of hate America's wealth gets blows my mind. Everyone wants to be rich, but only the people who don't make it in life to that level hate to no ends and ask for "redistribution", etc. Fuck that picture that was posted a few things up...respect to the people who got the fuck out and went to there second and third homes in other places. And even more respect to people who can afford a multiple car garage and can fill it up with cars. If you have a problem with rich peole get the fuck out of America and go to France
Hahaha that's hilarious. People that use romneys wealth as an argument against him are absolute morons. Yes, he inherited some from his father but he's still brining in millions every year, so it's obvious he's know what he's doing. I bet if you gave an obama supporter making $30k a year a $350k a year salary, their political views would be the complete opposite of what they were. Everyone just wants to get/keep money at all costs while doing as little work as possible.
if you can prove to me that the majority of government spending, i'm talking percentages here, is on stupid and unnecessary things, i'll concede the point. but most people don't understand how running a country works, yet can't allow any faults in an organization trying to lead a nation of three hundred million people who don't agree on anything.
I mean screw the national budget deficit. I see it as a stupid and unnecessary reason to tax our hard earned money. Besides, if we ignore it it will take care of itself.
Actually yes right now I am extremely poor and will probably have to take out a student loan in the near future from my government that will allow me to stay in school and help me pay for my food and my rent.
For that I am extremely thankful to the taxpayers and the government in general, without that loan I wouldnt be able to get a good education and eventually work toward doing something that I love. So when I am being taxed in the future I will always think about how that money may be helping someone else that is in a situation like I am right now.
and I dont even want to comment on my "demonization" of the states and the taxpayers wealth.
A well thought out, educated response - understanding the value of a social contract and reciprocal opportunity. I especially like the part where you're responding to a guy that is angry about the government providing for people, and he doesn't know which 'your' to use.
but everyone gets to go to college who is gonna make my double cheeseburgers from mcdonalds :(
people call the wealthy elitists that only care about their tax group... what about all the entitlement that people feel.... this country needs laborers. I really wish everyone could go to college and increase their education but im sorry thats not how this country works, its not how it has ever worked and its not how any country in the world has really worked. well one thats as big as this one at least.
I'll venture a guess that everyone on here isn't poor. Skiing isn't a cheap sport. Gear isn't cheap, lift tickets, gas to the hill isn't cheap, Most of you are probably on your parents insurance. So to call someone poor here is a stretch.
