People Who Know Their Shit About Bindings

I know people that like these more than turntable heels. They still have that elasticity that turntables have, but don't spin all the way around (can be kind of annoying). The brake isn't "apart" of the heel piece like they are on FKS/Pivots, so they'll come off easier, but are easier to replace (if you can find them). Along that note...do they have brakes included (they're not in any of the pictures)...I wouldn't buy them if they don't have brakes, that's the hardest thing to find on these. Other than brakes, it looks like they've got everything needed for use. They're not as durable as FKS/Pivots, but they're damn close and will certainly be better than axials.

Yeah I believe that was the original axial style heel (hence why the new PX style binding is the axial 2). The heel components are slightly less durable than the FKS style heels because they have less metal components, but overall they're great bindings. Lighter than FKS too I believe. The toepiece is the exact same as the one you'll find on the FKS 140 these days, but not the same chasis as the FKS 155 or 180 or 185. The higher din versions have an all metal toe that only contacts the baseplate in one shaft in the middle, similar to the salomon driver style toe without all the adjustability. The toe on the higher din version tends to be more durable and more reliable, but this version is lighter and also features vertical release. Unless you're the next Seth Morrison, if you're lighter than 175 lbs or so you will be fine on these clamps. Snag them and enjoy the deal/elasticity/internet props.

This ^ Ive skied those bindings in the past, and they are way better then the current axials that I have. As BWalmer said the brakes are a bitch to find, not even look have any left as far as I know. They do have a slight elasticity in the heel, but dont "pivot" like the fks or the pivots. These bindings are basically the in the middle of the axial and the fks in terms of binding quality, strength, and durability. I remember I mounted these with a orange thin plastic piece, but that is not in any of the photos, but I wouldn't be so worried about that, it was basically just to raise the bindings a bit of the ski.

That is just the riser or rubber "jib" thing. You dont need it to mount the ski, just maker sure the screws are the correct length. If it came with a riser and you are mounting it without the screws probably need ground down so they dont go through your ski.

Dunno if anyone saw the bottom of the OP tho. Would the salomon c609 binding work fine for my 125 pound friend who mostly shreds groomers and a little bit of glades, mounted on line masterminds? he doesnt hit anything at all in the park

Yep those would be fine if he's a pretty light unaggressive skier. And congratulations on the deal. 15 bucks is a steal for sure, those are nice ass bindings

They're missing the heel tracks and pivots in that condition will have a lot of lateral play in the heels. Bummer. You should have waited until someone who knows their shit about bindings posted.

And I would only put a beginner or little old lady on c609s.
