I recently was given a Canon Vixia HV30 with one downfall, the HDV/DV out port doesnt work. The camera is in great shape and I really want to use it but need to connect it to my computer to edit. I have both a macbook and a dell desktop (have vegas on the dell so that is primary editing computer) so i was looking into capture cards, since the camera's HDMI out is working. It seems like Black Magic Intensity is sort of the go-to capture card, but i have heard it is overpriced for what you are getting. Just wanted to see if anyone had some advice/possibly a less expensive model that they know about. Any help is appreciated
