Some background info... Last season I put a tear in my MCL. I went to physio, got some exercises to do (which i was sloppy about) and started skiing again; overall it seemed like a pretty minor inconvenience. But this past summer I went to physio again and they said that there was scar tissues built up and my good leg has been compensating. But that's not really whats been worrying me, it's the HOLE IN MY KNEECAP?! It's probably about a cm wide and two cm's long, and its on my "bad knee". Has anyone ever had this same phenomenon happen to them? I know there's lots of ppl on here who have had knee injuries and perhaps have asked their doctors about similar things??
probably a good idea eh.. it's been sketching me out, would be good to get some answers. kind of scared for a diagnosis.. Still wouldn't mind hearing from someone who has had a similar problem.
FWIW I skied for the past 3 years in fucking agony until I went to a doctor, and got some ortho issues taken care of. My whole body was compensating for how shitty my lower legs were at the time. I was on the couch most of the summer, but what I gained was amazing.
Yea, I know i could be skiing fine this winter, but who knows what kind of damage would getting done. It just kind of seems like as long as I can ski, it's all good, even if it hurts. Probably will resent that attitude in 5 years..
