We need a new term for positively rating a thread/picture

Now that this new rating system is in effect for the homepage, and the +1/-1 voting system now does something more than it used to, I think we as a group need to make a decision on what to call a positive or negative vote.

The terms Upvote and Downvote are stupid, come straight from reddit and have no originality. I will refuse to allow them to gain popularity. Instead we need something unique to us, because we are NS, not stupid Reddit

Ideas?

On dumpert.nl, a dutch media sharing site, they use the word "Kudos"

so it doesn't have to be a term for each specific pos/neg, but can be a term to describe a rating and give/take from that.

just trying to get creative juices flowing, because i do NOT want everyone to running around telling me to "here, have an upvote"

Solid 7 did not originate on NS, in fact it's almost as dumb as the term upvote

stomped is a bit vague though, it needs to definitely get at the fact that you've rated the thread up, but not be so long that typing it becomes a pain

I agree. Not just saying that because it was my suggestion but when you stomp a trick it's nothing but good, all skiers can relate. Do you want a term for down vote too or just Upvote?

and while being associated with skiing is the hopeful goal, it needs to be clear that it relates to +/- or the voting system in general
