Need some Advice/Recomendations for "Special" feet...

Sooo my fiance has been wearing ancient back entry ski boots because he had club feet when he was born and doesn't think he'll be able to get his feet into regular boots.
His ankles are almost fused so he has very limited movement. The length of his foot is a mens size 7 but his arch is the size of a normal foot for his height (9-10)... He tried to put on my SPK Pro size 25's and wasn't even close to getting his foot in the boot (because his arch is so big).
Any boot fitting guys or possibly other skiers who had club foot with advice?? I really want to get him into a normal boot because I think it will GREATLY benefit him. I'm nervous I'm going to bring him to a boot fitter and they won't have anything and he'll be embarrassed and bummed beyond belief.

Perhaps a custom fitted boot? I have a feeling something like Daleboot would work well, although I'm not sure. Pretty shitty situation though. Good luck.

A good boot-fitter is (and I really don't like to make this comparison often) sort of like a good doctor. He/she will understand your fiance's situation immediately and not make him feel awkward or weird. The boot-fitter will explain certain options depending on how good he/she, can often times customize a boot so that it is easier to get in and out of.
3-piece boots won't be that easy for him to get into. Alpine touring boots or boots that have a legitimate walk mechanism will allow the boot to open rearwards when stepping in. In the modern boot world, this type of boot will probably be the easier for him to put on and take off.
