My wedding reel

So I worked a bunch of weddings this summer, and wanted to make a reel I can send to future clients when I'm trying to get work next summer, what do you guys think? good idea or bad?

It might seem long to some, but I was thinking if a client is going to pay thousands for a wedding videograoher, they probably wouldn't mind a 2 minute video ha

0:48 You cut off their heads...I wouldn't hire you based on that sorry.

Kinda shaky in some points too, maybe choose different clips?

the point of that shot was to show her ring, and their hands

for some reason the guy I was shooting with hated tripods, he also shot with a GL2, and didnt want my hd footage, likewise most of my footage I had to shoot super low res, and only had a handfull of hd shots that I wanted to use for this

sorry, but that shot just looked terrible at 48. i wouldnt use it ever again.

and yes, alot of the shots were shaky too.

Seems legit....... :| Some 'profesional'.....

Audio was poor and very harsh sounding. I also don't wanna hear the photographer's camera clicking. Cuts were sloppy, music didn't fit. Filming was very shaky and low res, whites were blown out in a lot of shots, lots of noise and high contrast (not what you want for weddings IMO). I definitely don't want to see flashes going off either if avoidable. Didn't feel that emotion of a wedding, felt like a bunch of quick shots from uncle jim's handy-cam.

:032, the point is to make the bride look gorgeous, not a like a horse about to puke....

:48, the main focus IMO is that food, definitely not her ring.....

:58, again bride looks terrible, who wants to see her chewing?

1:38, bride scratching her eye? Check your white balance too, way too purple/blue.

Overall definitely needs a lot of work, talk to Jamie (1337), he second shoots a ton of weddings.

Yeah, you'll notice there are two different resolutions in here ( I had to shoot low res to match his), also on some occasions I changed some of my settings to look more like his, thats why a lot of my colors are pretty inconsistent. and to be honest I disregarded steady shots, because the guy I was working for could care less about shaky shots....he felt that tripods attract too much attention and would prefer me go hand held (which always sucked)


the shot at 1:38 was supposed to her crying and wiping her tears, I guess I cut that too fast to tell
