Well these are ok, but kind of late in the game if you're talking about the overall freeskier picture of ski decents in no-fall zones, and the influence of film and media on the industry itself. I would probably change this if I had more time to think but this would have to be my big list as of now.

I feel like the ski mountaineering part got huge, then the ski game sort of grew into that over time. Descents got deadly, minds expanded, frontiers got pushed out. Alaska in my mind was the turning point in when shit got just oh so real, and the media influences and money really came in, even though guys like Miller and Barrymore had been making films for decades. Helis started flying everywhere. Freestyle exploded. Technology hits skis. Snowboarding follows. Spancerships. The interwebz. Backcountry explodes. Tanner scream. The End.
