Replying to Pressure point - side of leg above ankle.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so what solutions there are.
First off let me say that I have been to a boot fitter and I also had my boots fitted at a boot fitter . They fit very nicely around my foot and calf etc. However where I am currently living there aren't too many boot fitters and so I can't really ask around too much. The boots fit very nicely around my foot and calf etc.
I explained the problem that after a day or two of skiing I seem to get pretty savage bruises along my fibula a couple of inches just above and slightly to the front of my ankle. When pressure is applied to the front of the boot it almost feels as if the pressure isn't being distributed evenly across the front of my shin and rather to the localised area I mentioned earlier.
I have had the cuff of the boot adjusted so that it is more in-line with my lower leg, however the problem remains.
I have also stopped skiing long enough for the bruises to heal and so that I am not just aggravating an older injury.
The boot-fitter doesn't really know what else to do and so I am not sure how I should go about trying to sort this out.
Anyone else had this problem?
Thanks in advance.
