Salomon Rocker 2 90

just bought these im moving away from park and more of an all mtn guy. wondering if anyone has ridden them? any comments about them?

Its the updated version ofthe Lord, which was a very popular ski. Its designed for intermediate to early advanced skiers, who want a ski to take them all mountain. Its going to be most at home on the groomed runs, but it can handle some powder as long as its not deep. Thenew nose does help with float over the old version and the 50/50 cap/sidewall does help teh ski carve better then older versions.

Overall as an all mountain ski to help intermediate skiers adventure off piste for the fist time, while still being perfectly happy on the groomed runs, they are great.

well ive been skiing for 17 years twins for about 5 years now hopefully they handle my riding.

I ride east coast. No much powder over here. I don't see what u mean how they seem to narrow for all mtn.

Unless salomon has stepped up their durability game your probably going to delam them half way through the season.

Have a look at the Rocker 92. Its the old 2012. The Rocker 90 is not actually a twin tip whereas the 2012 is. The Rocker 92 is a really fun all mtn ski, it carves better the the Rocker 90, handles pow better and you could take them in the park.

See if you can find those, they will be about the same price as the Rocker 90, maybe $50 more.

its basically a new and improved version of the lord and it should a great ski to rip all over the mountain. I want to test them out also

Usually when people have all mtn skis, they are around or over a 100mm waist, which can work great for pretty much everything, and a waist of 90 usually would be around more of a park size, which wouldn't be the best for all mtn cuz they would be abut narrow for powder and all the crude out doing stuff off the groomers

90 is more than enough underfoot for powder if you know how to ski. Before rocker people had this thing called "technique" for skiing. It made it possible for old skinny skis to rip in deep powder.
Yes a 100 underfoot will float better in deep stuff but Op already said he's living on the east coast.  He  Doesn't get 3 foot dumps like out west. Something like the rocker 2 90 would be perfect for him. A quick turning twin tip with a touch of rocker for if and when pow hits east coast.

Op once you get a good couple rides on the ski, write review and post it up. Im curious how Salomon's new line is gonna hold up.
