Alright. I have an awesome idea. It requires mature, real newschoolers to work.

The concept:

I, start off by taking a couple of pictures with my camera. I then mail my camera WITH the photos to a fellow newschoolers. Preferably in another country or another state. Since i live in Norway, it would sweet to send my camera to either another norwegian in another part of norway with diffrent scenery an such.

Then, i (or the other norwegian) Sends it to a Swede, or a Dane, or another guy close in europe. Said person takes a couple of pictures, (skiing related ones is a sweet bonus). When this camera has been sent around to europe, canada, a bunch of american states, it finally gets sent back to me.

Then all the pictures will be posted, in either this thread or a transparent one. Anyhow,

The memory card will be filled with pictures from around the world, taken by fellow Newschoolers.

This of course, as said above needs mature people. To not steal said camera and make this work.

We would have to make a list of the members it would be sent to. Said members will have to give up a lot of personal info, like address and (probably only the first) name.

Should be in M&A but the number of responses will be way higher here.

Maybe i've missed something. If so, please feel free to ask.

saw this on here a while ago. i think someone did it with a disposable camera so the stolen factor wasn't an issue.

why dont we just use a shitty disposable camera.

get like a 30 shot one.

take one pic. send it to someone else, last person to get it, gets the pictures printed and scans them.

It might be easier, less expensive, faster, and just overall more practical to have a thread where people from around the world are encouraged to post their best/most interesting photos (skiing related would be a plus) than to actually ship a digital camera all around the globe.

Well if this happens, dibsing one sent down to me in Miami.

Last time this happened, I was sent it, took my picture at Mt. Hood, and then handed it off to Dayton...never saw it again.

THIS THIS! A SD card would be perfect. DIBS ON BEING ON THE LIST. Everyone who gets the camera or card should be required to send you a download link to a zip file of all the images so if it does get stolen there will still be a current folder with erything on it

Just sending an SD card seems less cool than an actual camera, even if it is less expensive to ship. Point and shoots are actually pretty quality now a days and wouldn't be that big of a deal shipping wise and you get something more tangible/ the idea of "all of these people have used this camera" which I think is cooler than "all of these people saved files to this SD card".

But I would be down for this.

Im in! This sounds like a cool idea. But I dont have a camera so it would be hard for me to just use an SD card.. Ive got a shitty point and shoot... Just send a disposable.

This would be such a cool thing to do. Kinda reminds me of that video where a dad sends the son's toy train up in the stratosphere with a balloon; the idea of having an object important for someone to be sent all over the world is awesome. I'd be worried if I had to send my 7D to strangers though... It would definitely be also cool to have something else sent and taken pictures with, like someone above suggested

This happened about a year ago in M&A, disposable camera was sent around, never got any word of it's final resting place though. Sucks cause I'd really like to see the photos.
