Replying to One Heli - 4 Skiers - Fantasy Heli Shoot
What are the 4 skiers you would pick for a month filming? And why? Bonus points for picking skiers that generally don't film together all the time anyways.
I'll start:
Sage Cattabriga-Alosa:
The spine technician. Sage has been in the game forever, and has a ski style that can only be explained as casually deliberate. I think some people may actually overlook just how good he because of how easy he makes it look. One of the best examples may be his flat 3 on Denali wearing a moutaineering pack, and on tech bindings.
Candide Thovex:
Candide ski's the most creative lines, and does it fast as fuck. He doesn't make turns just to make turns. He makes them to get to the next bump that he can boost off of. X-games champ, Freeride World Tour champ. Obviously he has the chops to take on anything, and destroy.
My first 2 were easy. Now it gets hard.
Sean Pettit:
No one can deny that Sean Pettit has had some of the best film segments with MSP every year since his closer in CLAIM. He goes big, he goes fast, and generally looks like he's skiing on a pogo stick. Must be those young knee's. I haven't seen his Superheroes of Stoke seg. But I'm hoping it's as good as all his other work with MSP.
Eric Pollard:
Eric Pollard is the definition of style, and creativity. Nothing is forced. Just beautiful skiing. No matter if it's a big AK line, deep Ja-pow, or sessioning a BC booter. No one does it better while never crossing ski's.
Alternate in case of injury: Parker White
Not be be bandwagon jumper, but his work in Sunny was pretty eye opening. This caused me to go back and look at After Dark(a movie I dislike), and watch his segment there. powerful work. I think with the right push Parker White could be huge on like a Pettit level. His game is top notch in all aspects
