If you're using a multi blade razor to shave, you're missing out

So like most lazy bums, I've been using your typical Gillete fusion for my daily shave. Then one day my friend suggested a safety razor: (aka double edge):

My mind was blown. This thing was so comfortable, so smooth on my face, i looked forward to shaving every day. I dont know why everyone doesn't use these things, they have cheaper replacement blades, and give you a closer shave. Pair it with some shaving soap:

Was I stated before I do use a straight edge razor but it does take about 20 minutes for me to shave. Some days I do need to run right out of the house so I do have an electric razor however that being said in the army you're not allowed to use an electric razor because you don't get a close shave.

I was arguing that it's stupid to say auto is inherently better because it's easier in the same way it's stupid to say cheap/expensive razors are better because they're less time consuming and you're afraid of being a "hipster," whatever that means.

Though for the record I do prefer auto only because I couldn't care less about cars. Right now I drive a standard and it certainly has its advantages...

gave it a go for my first time last night and got razor burnt to shit. Guess i gotta practice a little. Also my shave cream seems to be really irritable so that could be part of the problem

I've been looking into a straight razor for a while. Buy one razor for the rest of your life??? sounds fuckin great to me. Hell I'll sharpen it every day, I don't give a shit. I sharpen my fuckin axes, hatchets, and pocket knives weekly anyway so what's one more tool.

so i switched to a safety razor recently, and damn i got to say this thing is nice.. shaving feels great and after i learned how to use it, only takes like 5 mins... its time well spent in my opinion...

I have one, never use it. Always go to my pussy five million blade Gilette thing. It's really for one reason only. I only shave in the morning, which means I'm either still drunk from last night, or I'm having a massive hungover, in both situations I don't want myself to handle 4cm of razorsharp stainless steel against my face.
