Shut the fuck up. The eastcoast almost never sees hurricanes or tropical storms and the last one to hit us devastated southern and central Vermont. People are going to lose their homes in this storm and the fact that this is happening right before winter is only going to make it worse. I realize there has been a lot of hype and a lot of threads and I agree that it is fucking annoying, but it doesn't change the fact that this storm is going to change a lot of peoples lives, mostly for the worst. So keep your worthless fucking comments to yourself.

The thing is, everyone is acting like it's just up north getting hit and everyone shoudl worry about them.

"GOING to lose their homes"
"GOING to change a lot of people's lives"

Already happened bud, Haiti and the Caribbean got it bad, and now that a lot of my friends down here are native Haitians, I understand the true effect. Their families are left homeless and everything around them gone.
Don't just think it was a rainstorm for us down here and you guys are going to get oh so fucked.

Trust me I don't. I may not realize the full magnitude of the destruction down there, but that's because I don't live there. I know Haiti and the Caribbean have gotten hit way worse than the northeast will, but that doesn't mean we are "vaginas". I have quite a bit of family that live on the Jersey Shore and in NYC that are going to be seriously negatively affected by this storm.
I'm not going to care less about what happens up here because of what has happened down there. Sorry. And the only reason that there's that "oh the northeast is screwed" is because the weather channels hype this storm up beyond belief. Trust me, I don't have that kind of attitude, I just care what happens to people up here because I live up here, just like you care what happens to people down there because you live down there. I don't want this to come off as me not giving a fuck, it's just two totally different worlds that you can't compare like they're equal.

They mandatory evacuated where I surf, basically near where jersey shore was if you're not from NJ. If you watch the weather channel, they're at point pleasant in NJ. Waves look insane. Probably was amazing surf but soon you're just going to have a death wish to go out there.

Went for a walk at 730 this morning to get a newspaper and a coffee and I havent seen the city this quiet on a Monday morning ever.
Im a block away from the East River so hopefuly I dont have waterfront property by tomorrow!

Thanks. Im on the 3rd floor so I should be good.
Everything is pretty much closed except for the 24 hour bodega, the coffee shop and the supermarket. Im stocked up on food, beer and enough asswipe to get thru the next 2 days in doors if need be!
