My parents used to dress me up in all the new Jiberish and Saga in the early 90s so i've never been a gaper. Sorry, I can't really relate OP.

My parents put me on one of those vest leash things one year cause I would always bomb hills and get too far ahead of them. I dont think theres any pictures of it, but Ill look.

I had an orage suit when I started skiing. Brown and cyan plaid pants and brown and cyan jacket, solid colored. I never really achieved gaper status when I was into skiing. When I was just doing it cause my parents braight me, I rocked some ugly red spyder jacket I got from my cousin. I may have pics to deliver when home.
