So right now im 12 weeks, 3 months out of Acl reconstruction. There was no other damage to my meniscus or MCL or any other tissue or ligament. My doctor said my ligament was as solid as a rock and could tug on it as hard as he wanted at 3 weeks post op and i had done so much PT that 3 weeks post op i had full range of motion. i know the regular time period is 6 months but i cant stand not skiing and when i dont ski i get into trouble and drugs so i need skiing. is it ok if i casually ski easy slopes and hike easy BC with a brace, no jumping and park right now? whens the earliest you guys started? ive already skied twice at this point.

bottom line is that it's based on how you feel man. your body will tell you what is cool and what is not cool. start off slow and if your knee isn't throwing up any red flags, keep progressing until your body tells you to not push it any further.

just ask your doc...normal recovery time may be 6 months but that doesnt mean you cant heal up quicker. Probably not the best idea to be pushing it in the park like you said, but if the doc says its strong enough and you feel 100% mellow turns cant be bad

i tore my acl 2 seasons ago. what a pain in the ass of a recovery. i tried wearing the after market sport brace sking found it difficult to ski in cause the brace went into part of the tongue of my boot. id recommened one of those smaller sleeve braces. but anyways even after the six months recovery i skiied park and the jumps were really the killer .knee was super sore at the end of the day. my reconstrcted knee doesnt have the normal hyper extension in knees where

you can flex ur knee back. its perfect straight in range of motion. so i tend to tweak my knee sometimes. not everyones the same but best of luck on ur recovery +k
