Ok i am looking at some on3p jeffrey and rossignol s7 please give me some opinions and reviews +K for good opinions or reviews!

They're two pretty different skis we need more information like what you want to use this ski for.

a main powder ski but i want best quality ski and also can ride groomers good

They're two very different skis. It really comes down to what you're looking to do with them.

Jeffery - 110 underfoot, more of a playful pow-jib/bc booter ski.

S7 - 115 underfoot, more of a charger ski.

Both will hold their own in most mountain terrain types. I'd say it'd come down to a softer jibby powder ski (Jeffery) or a stiffer charger powder ski (S7).

FWIW the Jeffery is stiffer, and goes harder than the S7 IMO. At 220 I have skied the jeffery on hardpack, charged variable wind blown shit, skied pow in tree's, etc. Oh, and it's playful when you want to do that to.

Not to mention the S7 has an irrelevant, and outdated tip splay profile that's pushes more than planes pow.

I would ski the Jeffery at it's smaller waist before I touched the S7.

Really? hmm, last time I rode them was like 3 seasons ago so I was trying to base it off that, I guess my memory of them is different, haha.

Either way, the Jeffery is probably the most fun ski I've ever ridden, there's no way to go wrong with it.

me: Own jeffreys, ridden s7s.

I don't really have tons of helpful input, but I really liked the s7's. Definitely did not think they were floppy.

eh, I guess this is fair. I still dont think they were that bad, but I was only cruising them for a few runs on demo day. I can't deny what you said about seeing them from the lift.

S7's are the resort rental pow ski, you can throw a beginner on em and they will have fun. As for real chargers. My dad skied em in some fresh in utah and didn't like them at all, super deflective, sloppy, unpredictable. I'd call it an entry level directional pow ski. Super 7's are meh, better. Rossi seems to finally be doing something right with the Squad 7's, they look burly.


These are two 100% different skis regardless, one is a directional more traditional ski, and the other is a jib pow ski. Both will excel in deeper soft snow but will still be useable when it firms up. How much do you weigh? Where do you ski? What type of terrain do you like to ski? Are you going to be spinning, landing switch? What type of skis have you like in the past? Would you consider your self intermediate, advanced, expert?

The Jeffrey and s7, as talked about above, are VERY different. I would suggest comparing the s7 to a Billygoat.

The Billygoat is quickly becoming everyone's favorite ski at ON3P. It's more directional than the Jeffrey, but it is so so so good in any sort of all mountain / soft snow, and skis almost like a traditional ski on groomers.

The S7 is definitely not a charger. I think that person meant to say directional but it was definitely too soft in my opinion. Great for low angle trees with freshies and carves fine at moderate speeds preferring short turns. The S7 was definitely a revolutionary ski and changed the way we looked at ski design combining a true powder ski (R/R) with a traditionaly carver but it has been tweaked and improved by others.

Like others have said it compares more to the Billy Goat in shape which is an awesome ski. The JJ is its obvious competitor which I preferred. If you're looking for something like the Jeffrey from Rossi try the Sickle, though its full rocker, its ver subtle and carves fine and is an awesome ski. Others would be the Praxis MVP or Mountain Jib. Updated stronger versions of the S7 5 point design would be the Atomic Automatic and the Squad 7.
