Ever considered the Rossi FKS or Salomon STH Driver? They're cheaper and more durable than Marker's Jester Pro.

sth 16 driver with the 130 mm brake. if u really want to go burly u could consider the sth 16 steel, but it will be heavier than the driver.

have you ever tried to clip into an FKS in pow? have fun with that one.... seriously... and the driver toe which requires constant tightening of screws to keep the front of your boot from wiggling around all the time? yeah... solid binding there... expect Salomon to go the way of Forum snowboards shortly...

The jesters should be more than adequate for your weight on the magic j, unless you regularly ski in areas where releasing will cause death, or have a habit of breaking bindings, the 18 Din just really isn't all that necessary.

if u are going to stay with marker get the pros. better binding for only slightly more money.

I currently on my 3 skis have a marker griffon, Tyrolia Peak 18, and Rossi FKS 18s. After using them all the griffon fell apart, and the Rossi and Tyrolia are basically the same as when I bought them (amazing quality IMO). So I would recommend tyrolias or Fks! Of course the griffon is a lot worse than the jester or jester pro. I would recommend Rossi or Tyrolia over marker. But if your dead set on markers then go for the jester pro. Not too much more money and it's a bit better of a binding.

if it's for the green color get this years dynastar pivot 18, almost same as jester pros unless you want this years yellow ones.

STH 16s > most other alpine bindings...

Find cause they have more adjustments (toe height/side width etc) you can actually set your din lower in comparison to other brands... well that's what my own lil bit of trial and error found.

and as stated for added burlyness get the STH 16 steel... same price as the normal STH 16.

Hey guys new question because no shop in my area has the magic j & Ive got a thing about ordering stuff like that online, so do I go jj or bentchetler & sizes please. Thanks guys!

Honestly in the bigger sizes it's almost a wash. Really it almost boils down to small preferences. I think that although they are both made by Atomic, the Bent Chetler seems a little more solid in the construction department. but that could just be perception.

I spent have about 20 days on a 192 BC, and thought it was fun as hell in all conditions except set up skied out mank.

if you need to ask, you'll probably be fine with just the jester. the people who need the pro know from experience.

the 192 bents are way more of a big mountain ski than the JJ or the 185 bents for that matter... the 192's have a significantly stiffer tail than the 85's, but I liked the bents quite a bit more than the JJ's.

There's some real hate on this site for FKS which are widely regarded some of the best bindings out there. Only real competition, is the STH driver toe. FKS comes in 14 or 18, 18 is all metal, 14 has plastic toe metal heel. STH can be had in all metal with the 16 but will be heavier. These are by far the most burly and trusted bindings out there and going to last you.

Whoever said you can't clip into FKS has a bit of a point, its slightly harder to clip in but negligable in my opinion. I don't have any issues after bootpacking out to some fresh. Some people have good things to say about Markers...I am not one of them. A lot of people absolutely despise markers, once again I'm not really in that group either but I don't trust them, and have had to deal with plenty of broken Markers working at a shop. The STH and FKS...never. The only Marker I would personally buy is the Duke or Baron but with Salomon/Atomic coming out with a touring binding and Tyrollia as well, I'm interested to hear the feedback at the end of the season.
