Ski/Board Club Stand

Alright NS, here goes. We finally created a ski club for my uni this year and are going to promote it by putting up a stand in a popular spot on campus in hopes of getting more members. To help bring some attention towards this stand I've decided to bring a laptop and play some edits that will hopefully bring more interest.

I've decided to include:
Slumdog Illionaire
Two from LJ
The Japan Edit (Need a few Pow)
3:2:11 Breck <-- Club is considering going if we get enough members)
Unknown snowboarding Mad River Mountain (Where we will mostly be going)

Completely open to some suggestions that you think will bring in the most amount of people possible. Trying to be different from all the other unoriginal stands that just have a poser hanging.

There will be no volume, so there can be as much cursing as possible. And obviously, no nudity.

Im an exec for the ski club at my school - don't know your sponsor situation, but try and get a Monster Collegiate Rep.

We get a HUGE amount of members that come to our events simply because we give away cases upon cases of free monster.

Our club is about 300 members strong and were in Iowa... So I can only imagine schools in more skier friendly areas would be bigger.

yea get some spansers. i dont remember the exact number but here at UofC (Calgary), we got something like a few thousand members.

Thanks for the advice on sponsors. Def gonna see what can stem out from that.



The playlist so far. It's at 20 minutes exactly.

One favor to ask, though. I've been looking around and can't seem to find a good PoV race edit that is <3 minutes long. Open to some suggestions if anyone can think of one off the top of their head.

May also add a crash edit, but kind of worried it will deter some people. On the contrary, it would make people be like "oh shit look at that" and stay longer.


TLDR: Any PoV race edit is appreciated, maybe another PoW video also.

Those edits are pretty old. I suggest you buy Sunny or WE on iTunes and have that playing in the background.

This way there will be up to date skiing, you won't have to be constantly changing the video, its HD, its got every sort of skiing except racing, and its really rad.

Maybe try to plan a ski movie night or something in a lecture hall and get some sponsors or something.

Haha, in all seriousness though I guess it would be a benefit to have music playing at a moderate loudness so we can still talk to people.

The good thing about the playlist is that I won't have to change the videos, it will do it for me! Yay.

You and the other people are definitely right about sponsors though. Will have to research.
