For one, people often align themselves staunchly with a party or candidate, claiming that the alternative is an utter piece of shit that will burn the country to shambles. I highly doubt that either candidate would be in a position to gain the office if they really were destined for utter failure as people make them out to be, the same applies for parties. At the end of the day, whether Obama or Romney wins the election, the country will remain solvent and the American lifestyle will continue uninterrupted for the most part. I understand that a particular candidate can be a much better option for you personally, but claiming that they are the savior of the country while the other person is a terrorist destined to ruin the country and corrupt social freedoms is just atrocious. Parties are the death of American politics, and they're only getting worse.
and where does that money come from if not the consumer? (which is by and large made up of the middle class). people don't get rich by themselves. capitalism hinges on having a large and active consumer class. enjoy your position at goldman, im sure they are clamoring to hire the kid who posts on the internet under the screenname roor.
read my post again. without a wealthy consumer base, ie middle class, there is no one to purchase the products produced by the worker and organized by the upper class. it all hinges on the consumer. that is why growing the middle class is integral to economic recovery. the creation of wealth is driven by the consumer, without the consumer, there is no worker, and there is no upper class.
you are all retarded. The middle class is dependent on those who produce and the producers are also dependent on the middle class. In most cases they are the same.
Can someone explain to me why Americans get so rustled over politics? I don't think I have seen a thread this full of angry people about any Canadian elections.
Agreed the point is that the majority of wealth is produced by the worker. Which then is funneled up the class levels and back down again. Joshua Americans were bread to be revolutionaries Canadians were bread to be bitches which is why they did not join the revolution and are now are bitch today
Because everyone in America is right about everything, we do not believe in accepting other people's opinion's and we will not stand to listen to them. Our opinion's are the only ones that matter. We are the United States of America and we all hate each other a few months every 4 years.
its not a problem that hes rich, it is a problem that hes been so rich for so long that he might have trouble understanding the motives, wants and needs of the majority of his constituents
Yet willamm in 2008 you probably believed that Obama who had only been a state senator for 3 years and had no real private sector experience was qualified. I think MITt has a lot of experience with the poor because Mormonism is the most active religion in volunteering and he was a bishopÂ
this, dentists get so much shit about making bucket loads of money. my dad doesn't make a shit ton of money. He came from a poor ass family, and after med school and opening a practice he had about half a mil in debt. not only that but everyone is out to sue your ass, he had a patient from 11 years ago try and sue him for leaving a small piece of file in his tooth... it turned out he never paid my dad for the work, and he didn't even do work on the tooth w/the file in it. for Christ sakes theres a lawyer in Portland for the 3rd molar. and whats with all the shit about if your not a "made man" your cheating, my dad worked his ass off and you think im just gonna start over. Fuck no im dam thankful that i can take over his practice. /end rant
