Quick Wolfram Alpha question.

I want to put my equation in with the square root symbol over both the 2x and -3

So instead of coming up like this: √2x-3=5, i want the square root symbol to extend over both the 2x and -3.

Not a math wiz at all, and any help with this would be appreciated.

√(2x-3), i believe.

you could enter it as (2x-3)^(.5)
or sqrt(2x-3)

Do (2x-3)^(0.5) it always works.
