Hey guys, official Forza Horizon thread right here now that its out. ALSO, I just started a Newschoolers car club in the game. We can race against other clubs and share cars from the club. Its an in game feature so I think it sounds like a good idea. Send me a friend request at : Rather B skiin for an invite.
I'll be picking it up this week. I'm stuck working afternoon shifts today and tomorrow so unless I wake up early tomorrow I probably won't get it until Thursday. I'd be down for joining a car club once I pick it up though.
Finally got it, but now I'm going out of town for the weekend haha. Loving it so far. The arcade aspect is different, but really fun. Being able to twin turbo an M3, dump on every possible part, and not have to worry about tuning setups when you're doing 230+ on the highway is pretty awesome. Online free roam/co-op challenges are pretty badass as well, and the barn finds have kept me occupied for a while. I think I've only completed like 3 or 4 actual career races because I've been doing other stuff.
I've owned and played every Forza since the first and this is the only one I am not totally fond of yet. I do enjoy the new life they breathed into the series, but I hate the open world aspect, and the inclusion of traffic. If I wanted an open world racing game, I have a huge variety to choose from, Forza was always the obvious simulation racing game choice. That genre really doesn't exist now unless I want to race F1 or Nascar.
But, the new overall feel to the game, new road surfaces and variety of races/random objectives has me hooked so far, so time will tell. I really like the addition of the point scoring system, it's a great way to kill time driving between races or objectives.
i saw a couple youtube vids saying how the physics arent quite as accurate as FM4 with some side by side showing. Is it pretty realistic driving still? Up on the fence if I should buy it or not. Also how is the overall graphics and drifting/ racing physics? Would love to be able to free cruise in the forza cars since the realistic game play was what brought me to forza in the first place
Tthis game has a way different feel than 4 but its a different kind of fun. The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of online drifting specific rooms. Kinda bummed me out but drifting the canyons on single player makes up for it lol.
I despise corvettes. Im not joking on this, I attempted the PR stunt at red rock with that damn blue corvette cr at least 75 times. If you arent drifitng the entire way down the hill you lose, any mistake fucks you over. I am actually pissed off right now at it.
Haha pretty much what I've been doing. That, and the occasional "playground game" online of Cat n Mouse, Infected, or King. I think I only have like 18 minutes spent in career races so far
