i literally thought that was a joke when i first heard it was coming out. im trying to imagine someone owning an ipod touch, ipad mini, and the ipad 3. none of them are particularly useful for anything besides checking facebook, playing music, and playing fucking angry birds, yet people piss themselves every 6 months when a fancy new 300 dollar toy hits the market.

im a big apple fanboy, but i think an ipad mini is completely useless. you're not going to carry it around in your pocket, theres an iPod for that. but you wouldnt want it for home surfing, because if youre doing that you might as well pay the extra 100 to have a full sized screen on a regular iPad. seems terribly silly to me.

Everyone is talking shit on the size, but have you ever used a 7-8inch tablet? My roommate has the nexus 7 and it like it so much more than a 10" tablet like the ipad. Easier to hold, easy to read, easier to put in a bag or whatever. The ipad is too big IMO, its like a laptop screen, the 7-8 inch range is perfect for web browsing and such.

Apple comes out with new product that has a new design, smaller or larger screen, but same basic concept - People freak out and complain how shitty apple is

example- iPhone 3, iPhone 4, iPhone 5




Any other manufacturer does the same thing and no one has a problem at all

example- Samsung Galaxy, Galaxy SII, Galaxy SIII

i think its the variety. people lose their minds over a new apple phone when its the same with another row of icons.

every type of android that comes out is pretty different from the last, and there are several lines. like the nexus / galaxy nexus, and then there's the S1/2/3, HTC 1/amaze. there's tons of android phones available, and people get them for the phone, not the little fucking apple on the side of them that puts them into a fucking higher class than everyone else.

I mainly hope that if they produce all these gadgets with different screen sizes (iphone 5/mini) they at least make a large focus on making the apps in store adjust to matching these screen sizes. My iphone 5 is useless at times when i open an app up and its limited to the screen size of the previous iPhones

That thing is made of 70% plastic. It's like comparing a Hyundai Genesis to a Cadillac ATS. Sure, your car may go faster, but my cadillac ATS is way sicker.

Apple products are much higher quality.

Ha are you really defending apples inferior product? Yeah, its plastic, but its still rugged. Just because its not solid metal doesn't make it a piece of shit. The ipad minis specs are much lower than the nexus 7 and its fucking iOS which fucking blows. You can sit here and tell me "apple products are higher quality" and in most cases they are great quality vs other companies which are good quality. Like you said, its luxury. The nexus 7 is much better tablet.

I can't seem to understand why yall saying it's useless and bla bla bla, apple will make BILLIONS out of that thing, and has actually entered a new submarket for 7 inch tablets. The same logic could be applied to the 13 and 15" MacBooks, WOW only 2" of difference?!? Yet for some people it makes sense having a smaller tablet, they might just find it more comfortable or need it. Arguing about a product by one of the largest companies in the world whose only aim is obviously make $$$ is nonsense, and you will see lots of iPad minis around. Of course apple takes also advantage of the "branding power" but I challenge you to find a company that doesn't... Entering the 7" tablets market is IMO the best move they have done in recent times. But oh well that's just my 0.02$
