I'm building a pvc rail in my backyard and was gonna hit it with some brand new chronics and ar7s. Should i be worried about damage being done to my skis, other then normal rail damage. Any tips and valid responses = +k.
they still put pressure on existing cracks. if you have been on alot of metal rails and then go to a pvc the pressure in gripping an edge alone could bust an edge out. its happend to me.
if you have a turf run in the turf may be the thing that you need to wory about because it could take off a very small layer of base each time you drop in (and it scrapes off wax fast)
ive been using my brand new domains for the whole summer on my setup and the base and edges are still in perfect condition other than cosmetic scratches...
I have a pvc rail and it is way easier on your skis than normal metal rails. As long as you have a landing in grass or turf and not like rocks you should be fine haha
Just make sure your skis are waxed so your not just sliding right on your bases, and you should be fine. Just don't jump onto rocks or shit. Cause rocks will wreck your bases and shit is smelly.
no, but i wouldn't use super new skis. Also you need to wax them after they are on carpet and grass, grass will make them sticky. if you use soap to make the ramp slikker it is bad for the base, i use wd40
