Magic Lantern on Canon 60D

I am considering installing it and I was wondering what you guy's opinions were on it.

haha do it man! there's really no reason not to. I would suggest learning your camera fully first, but it's got some really great features that can really help you out!

ya i've been looking at all the features on my camera, I just dont really know what makes MJ so special?

i'm not really sure how developed the ML is for the 60D, but if you have the rest of your camera figured out, you mine as well go for it. Regardless the 60D is a great camera, so it's really up to you. i say do it though!

it doesnt change the quality of video but it adds many cool features that big camcorders have such as "zebras" to visually see where you are clipping right on the screen, there are audio level controls as well as visual display of them as well to make sure you aren't clipping your audio, there are several cool photo features ive used like an intervolometer and larger hdr bracket settings, and the list goes on and on.

so it wont make the image cleaner or clearer by itself, but using all of the added gizmos and gadgets that conveniently help with filming, you will find yourself making sharper images and videos because you are paying attention to the detail and it is helping every step of the way.

i have it on my 60d and absolutely love it

google is your friend. there are quite a few good tutorials on youtube that make it really easy. also it's ML, not MJ. and if you're just the casual filmer, you might be let down by it, since really all it is is a set of features to make your camera more professional. but if you want to dial in your shots perfectly in terms of exposure, audio, etc. (AKA taking TIME to set up your shots), then you will definitely enjoy it and I recommend it for sure.
