im thinking about getting one of these two for this year, both last years models because of my budget. Which one do you thinks better if i want a mostly park ski but it should be able to go all mountain and ill be doing mostly rails but some jumps. Im 5'10" and 160 lbs and an intermediate skier.

While s4/scratches are fucking amazing, they are definitely more of an expert/comp level ski. Rossi's make their skis stiff and torsionally rigid, you gotta stay on top of em to drive those turns and pop. A common expression is a GS ski with a turned up tail. They aren't very forgiving so if you end up backseat you can't exactly butter out of it. If your really only an intermediate ar7's are definitely the better option, a more forgiving flex while still remaining fairly stiff. They are great skis and will kill it everywhere, I guarantee you will love em.

For 'mostly rails' 176 is probably the way to go, unless you plan on growing another few inches.

I didn't read what others have said, but the ar7's would be much better all mountain.

I'm sorry but no, your ate absolutely 100% wrong z a stiffer ski is 100% better for actual skiing, armada

'S really aren't that stiff. They are also very flexy tortuously ad have cap/wall which decreases edge hold to improve durability.

Are the scratches gonna be good all mountain?

Yes. They will be fantastic, I've ridden mine in everything from bulletproof tremblant, to EC crud through the trees, to slushy bumps, there is nothing this ski can't do. They might be a bit stiff for learning park, I'm 5'10/140 on 174's for reference. If your goal is to get better in the park ar7's might be better. Both are fantastic options, really comes down to what you look for in a ski.

I found the Scratches for $300 and i cant find any ar7's under $450, so i may just go with the scratches even if they're not so forgiving. i can handle them when it comes to all mountain and for park ill just have to make everything perfect ha.

Brand new? That's a really good deal. I payed about $50 less than that and it was on pro-form from the shop I used to work at. What size? Trust me man, you won't regret it, they are definitely a confidence booster knowing they won't wash out on you on bigger hits.

I love my ar7s, great in the park, all over the mountain, and absolutely bombproof construction as armada has been known to have. Just cant say enough good things about the ar7, youll love them I promise.
