You don't really need to take the lens out, I just start on the bottom and pull the rigger out, then pop the top out, detach the strap and reverse to put back on..

They shipped from Smith today. I'll post when they get here. Tried them on and they are so nice. The I/O fit the same as my Cbars and I wanted something bigger so I went with the I/OX
