1. Get up close and personal to the action. the closer the better is a good general rule of thumb with gopro footage because it shoots so wide. for action sports i like to shoot 720p60. also get clean stable footage
2. If your on final cut, open clips in MPEG Streamclip and convert to prores422 (LT) and send them to a folder
3. Import new prores 422 clips into final cut bin. drop clip into sequence and click "Yes" to match sequence settings to clip settings
4. do crazy editing with dubstep and twixtor and trippy ass effects
5. realize that was a bad idea and clear timeline
6. re-start editing to good music
7. color correct all footage
8. watch and enjoy what you just created. if you don't feel like you like it at that time, delete it and repeat steps 4-7
9. export to h.264 codec at "Best" quality. frame rate to 30fps or 24fps depending on slowed down footage and at 100% original size video with audio at 44.1kHz and 192kb/s
10. upload to youtube and create major facebook news feed jam on everyones wall with new video
