Will guardsmans be a go this weekend/possibly mid-week?
Will satan punish us again this winter?

20"-30" over 9,000'. Big low coming down from Gulf. Cold. Most of this will start tomorrow and last 3-4 days. There will be enough for the jibbers to go play in the woods. If lucky, enough to get the sleds out on the roads at least and do some real skiing. Snowmaking temps starting Wed night. I would imagine most resorts fire up as there is a good extended window of cold temps.

Considering god and mother nature are not active members of this forum I do not think anyone can answer that question.

Who cares, its gonna be 5-10" of snow on top of dirt and rocks. Call me when we have a base, aka when the resorts open.
You could definitely mud ski in a couple days though.

mehh its gonna be more than that, and they are saying that this snow will stay and start our base. Its a good thing that this snow is gonna be so heavy too, last year was sketchy

Could definitely see this being the start to our base, at least on N aspects at higher elevation. Still rain/sleet @7000ft in PC at the moment...

Does anybody know what the preseason hiking situation is at or around snowbasin? they've already got like a foot from this storm and have never hiked there in the early season.
