I finally got some bindings to put on my new Caylors and I'm taking them in to get mounted today, but where on the ski would you guys suggest I mount them? I've never had pow skis before and have always just had my normal park skis center mounted, so I don't really have any experience or knowledge on how to mount bindings on other skis. The shop I talked to yesterday didn't have a jig that would fit the Caylor, but they also said it was completely up to me where I want to mount them. So, I need your guys' help. I am 6'1" 175lbs, and these will be skied only upper mountain/big mountain and pow, and will never ever set foot in the park. Thanks guys
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the jig is specific to the bindings and not the ski, right? I don't see why they need a jig just for the caylors. But draw a sharpie line or something exactly where you want the bindings, cause then there's almost no way they can screw it up.
Recommended is around -3. I know that's where I mounted mine, and I like it. It's a good balance for charging and playfulness. Call up the guys at the factory if you want to know for sure. They're super helpful.
It depends on the size and model, but as a general rule, its around 3cm back from center for 2011/2012 and older, 4cm back for the 2012/2013. Notch in the sidewall is our recommended mark for boot midsole, this goes for all ON3P's.
