How did you get into skiing

Sorry if spelling is bad I'm on mobile How did you come into the world of skiing. For me it's a pretty basic one I used to snowboard and my friends got me into it.

My dad is an avid skier and he put me in snow school when I was around 2 and a half. I was one of those tiny little kids who never pizza'd and always French fry'd and would go speeding down the hill and fly into people on a regular basis.

My parents made me at the start. They even made me a newschoolers account in which I have to post at least 5 times a day.

my parents taught me how to ski when i was 2 and half years old and then a few years ago my friend got me into newschool skiing and i decided to join a ski team at the mountain i ski at the most

My parents figured if I could walk I could probably ski. Have been riding since.

i was in colorado during the winter for a family christian group thing. and my parents said either hockey or skiing, not knowing what either of these were (i was 2/3) i just picked skiing.

my grandparents were two of the first ski patrollers at Whistler, and then my mom became a groomer and my dad was a mechanic at hemlock so I started skiing when i was 2? I snowboarded for a while, but then i went back to skiing because it is soo much better :D

In the sixth grade I went to visit my aunt and uncle who lived near a ski slope and i went to lessons one day with my cousin. Then I moved to where they lived and started skiing a lot more.

My cousin did park and I thought it was really cool, so my parents brought my brother and I skiing. We were 8 at the time. Been skiing ever since.

my dad had all of his children on skis as soon as we could walk. in fact even before i could walk he would often carry me in a baby-carrier backpack thing. ive pretty much loved it since day 1.

When I was little I used to ski only on vacation, then when I was 10 I started to go skiing every weekend now I go every night after school and every weekend

that was me too.


i HATED ski school, but i picked up skiing really easily because i played hockey even before i learned to ski. within a few weeks i was that tiny kid flying down groomers and, sadly, going off the rail lips as jumps. needless to say i soon started hitting actual jumps, but it took my a while to start hitting rails. i consider the first rail i ever hit as my entrance into the freestyle skiing world.
