My apologies to you, J.D. for abusing your (quite popular) name to get attention here. I was wondering what you and other people on here think about media and public trust. Don't give me that stupid 'cnn is left wing, fox is right wing' stuff. I'm more interested in the reasons people distrust the media, and if you see any solutions. After all, a public that is not informed cannot make wise choices when it comes to elections. I dare to say that a functioning media system is necessary fot democracy to exist. Wanted to know your pieces on this...
again..sorry J.D., but with your name I am hoping for a productive discussion.

youre right, there are a lot of people that say the media is slanted one way or the other, but you have to find a source that you find is less one way or the other. You might think that it is dumb but PBS is the best that I have seen when you want to remain objective. Newshour with Jim Lehrer is one of the best news shows around. As for the rest of them, you just have to take them for what they are and filter through the slant that they present information. I think that you made a good point though, the most important thing is to remain informed and make informed decisions.

to find a station you like you have to know their bias and be able to see through it
the media isnt objective for shit
