Yeah, I have experienced the bag thing in canada and it seems like a hassle at least when I was there operating their bag milk system. Gallon jugs of milk are prime.

However I have seen jugs in BC, but when I was in toronto they were using bags. Damn french canadians make shit to complicated.

IMO milk from jugs taste like shit, it might be that its pasturized at a way higher temprature than Scandinavian milk wich have a much shorter durability than american milk, but also tastes fresher.

also are milkbags pasturized the same way as the jugs?

bags are pretty efficient though. you go to the store, buy like 6 of em, theyre easy to carry home, and when you're done with em you can bunch it up like a kleenex and just chuck it in the garbage. no giant ass jugs laying around..

Only thing that sucks about bags is if you lose the little plastic tab thing you have no idea what the expiry date is. You'll always have the smell test but it's always nice to have a general idea of when that shit's gonna go bad.

ok, seriously? This is like U-scan...they're just passing part of the labor on to the consumer with no savings.

I still can't believe that I'm checking and baggin my own groceries and getting no savings from it, but honestly, I prefer it. 

The milkbag is just passing part of the production process on to the consumer and not offering savings. Pretty soon we'll have to carton our own eggs, and bring home mountains of white fibrous tissue to roll onto cardboard cylinders.

who wants to store a stupid plastic jug (or two or three) when they don't want any milk in the house? Not everyone has a suburban house that goes on for days. I have a suburban condo that is very small-- no room for worthless jugs when I don't have milk in the house.

this is crazy. i cant believe people havent heard of milk jugs. i grew up in toronto and its basically the standard way of drinking milk. not passing extra labor onto the consumer hahaha its been around for as long as i can remember. and yeah plenty of people live in small ass apartments in the city and use milk jugs, its not a suburban thing. im still in shock that this isnt normal everywhere...

Those milk things they have in dining halls have giant bags of milk in them. You just don't ever see the bag because it's in the thing.
