So last year I bought a pair of Rocker 2s and I had them mounted at REI I told them specifically were to mount them. This year I am wanting to get a new pair of higher din bindings on them and I noticed that there are small barely noticeable drill holes right behind were they mounted my skis. Now that I have no were to mount my new bindings should I complain to them?
they fucked up on your first mount.
Now you want to change your bindings and have no where to mount them. It is their fault and you are in the right to complain.
However there is no proof that they did those holes so I do not know if they will take responsibility.
That's why I keep all my receipt, when they fuck it, I go to the shop an explain the situation, be calm, don't be a dick like I want new ski, you fuck the mount you own my some new, just be calm and be clear.
You can mount a ski 3 times. that being said, they just fucked u a mount. say something, as long as you have receipts you should be good. In my shop our marker jig was off 1 mm. Kid noticed, we gave him a new pair of skis. Shops will replace them
REI is legit for the most part. Once i had to tell the guy at least 3 times I wanted my bindings "center mounted" he had trouble wrapping his brain around the concept at first.
cus they saw what a gaper u r and you would fucking kill yourself if they were centered. plus u never ride switch anyywas so it dont matter. go home splice
reis policy is 100you percent satisfaction gauranteed, thats why people bring their 20respective year old tnf jackets in and walk out with brand new ones. this situation is a grey area for new skis though its not like they are unusable now, they just put extra holes and covered it up. this affects resale and/or longevity of the ski, effectively costing you money. this is how i would lay it out to them if it were me
