Replying to Good boots or back up skis?

Alright so I want to make the good decision. And due to my budget I can only get..
A.) Get brand new boots either hot doggers or spk's
or..
B.) Get a back up pair of park skis w/bindings Step Up's or Da'Nollies and a cheaper pair of 2010 SPK pro's...

Please give me some good advice on what i should do and depending on the decision which boot or skis..
There is no one better to ask for advice than NS.
