When exactly are they gonna move. They dont say so on the website. I ask because I dropped my skis off right before the move (fuck me) and that was like a month ago and I want my skis back. I called like 2 weeks ago asking if they are done with my skis and they said wait two weeks. still in the old store. wtf
Pretty sure they're in Fremont for awhile. I live 3 blocks away. Drove by the new store today and the exterior is still being worked on. They just poured concrete.
If any shop takes longer than 4 or 5 days to mount your skis, even during the peak of "mounting season," take them somewhere else, or buddy up to a tech. It's not that hard to make friends at a ski shop. Even paying an "expedite fee" can be worth it if you are in a bind. Ultimately it's your call on what is a reasonable amount of time to have your skis sitting in the shop waiting to be mounted.
Unrelated, but I was also at Evo today, and I have to say that every time I make the drive out to the shop, I leave empty handed asking myself why I continue to go there. Fucking letdown.
Pretty much. I buy my stuff online from Evo, and then take it to the guys at Alpine X in Olympia, because they know their shit, are chill, and don't charge a ridiculous amount.
$10 saved. evo is $35 last time I checked (or less if you got your shit at evo or evo.com)
rest of the world is $50 and up (unless you get shit there).
