Alright so i am looking into trying some full tilts this year and see if all the hype is for a reason. I am currently in some dabelo's and absolutely hate them. Rode them all last season and i was sore every weekend. My question is there a real difference in the boots other than graphics? For example they say the konflicts are more responsive and light whatever.... and then the hot doggers are whatever..... you get my point. I just want some opinions on boots that people have ridden cause riding and trying them on in the store is always a different expierence. Thank you for any help!
nearly every comment in this thread is going to tell you to go to a bootfitter. Including this one. if you dont have one near you or a competent store guy, read the boot fitting sticky up top ^ and go to the store and try on a bunch of boots. Be wary with full tilts though because the linings are super comfortable so you'll fall in love when you first step in, but you need to make sure they fit without the linings in so that halfway through the season you don't start getting horrible foot cramps from pressure points or bad shin bang. As a final comment Full Tilts tend to run thin (99 mm, aside from the booters and first chair which are a 102mm) so just keep that in mind. Hope you find a boot that fits great!
I bought the 2012 Hot Doggers and it took about 10 days of riding to fully break them in even after heat moulding and just wearing them around my apartment. But after those 10 days they fit like a dream.
first off not needed^^ and last year i went to a boot fitter and i feel in love with the first pair i tried on..... not a good idea but i was simply just asking for an opinion on the boots other than full tilts incredibly biased website haha
Try everything that fits, then try it on again. Half the monkey's on this site wear full tilt because they are fucking suckers who have fallen for a really well placed marketing campaign. There is nothing park specific about Full Tilt. So end up in the boot that fits you and meets what you are looking for in features, and the flex department.
Your first statement is correct and your second one is incorrect. Yes, many kids get Full Tilts because they are the cool thing to buy. That doesn't, however, mean that they aren't a quality boot with many features that make park skiing more comfortable. For example shock-absorbing boot boards and long forward flex are features that make the boots park- and freeride-specific to me.
Ya i figured full tilts would be a good choice for me cause of the amount of different skiing i do and the many different snow conditions i ride. The boots i have now are fine for pow days (usually) but on a crud day or a chill day in the park usually can't walk haha thanks guys!
