Replying to Looking for playful powder skis!
I'm in need of some playful and airfriendly powder skis. I'm going to spend alot of days riding pow this season and doing alot of backcountry kicker sessions. Therefore I need some skis that can do the job both in the air and when I'm carving deep pow turns. I generally had the Hellbent ski in mind, but I'm starting to think that this ski might be too much. That its a little too big, and won't give me an easy time when trying to do grabs and spins. I was thinking more of a flexible ski and I'm now mainly set on the Armada JJ's. Only question I have here is, what lenght should I get? Should I go for the JJ AK's which are 195cm? I just feel that those are gonna be too long when I'm getting air and want my skis to move quickly with my body. Also I'm wondering, will the AK's appose to normal JJ's handle much differently? Will the AK's flow better on top of the powder? I'm 6"2 btw. If you know about any other skis that might be good for this purpose please give some recommendations. Thank you.
