Ok, here's the sale.  Payment via paypal is preferred, all prices are OBO and don't include shipping.  Shipping is from Seattle WA, PM with questions or offers.  Really not interested in trades.  Thanks for looking.

First off, Smith I/O.  Can't remember the name of the colorway but half the strap is orange, the other half is grey.  Comes with a Sol-X lense 7% VLT (8/10), a Clear lense (10/10) and a Red Sensor miror (9/10).  The frames are 9/10 after a season of use.  The Sol-X has some dings, but nothing that affects vision.  Will include the bag that holds it.  Looking for $100+shipping (which won't be too bad).

Next up, Nordica Ace of Spades boot in a 27.5.  BSL is 315.  I got these at the end of the 2010-2011 season and put 2 days on them.  I then skied them all last 2011/2012 season (35ish days).  As you can see in the lower pics, the rubber on the bottoms is in great shape since I usually put my boots on in the lodge instead of the parking lot.  Don't mind the marks on the soles, its from using duct tape to micro-cant. These boots are too soft for me, otherwise I'd keep them because I love them.  Hoping they go to a good home.  Insoles are gone because I put in my own footbeds which I'll be keeping, but you can put pretty much anything in there.  Looking for $100 plus shipping.  Shipping aint gonna be cheap so I won't take offers of $100 shipped.

1. What is micro-cant?

2. What are soft boots best for? I'd assume soft boots are for less aggressive skiing and stiff boots are for more aggressive skiing...is this accurate?

I ski aggressively but I still get shin bang when I wear stiff boots...any thoughts? I mean I don't do huge shit anymore so there isn't a lot of impact, but I ski fast and do a lot of small-medium sized gaps/jumps.

Hi Nate,

Specific to "micro-cant", Canting is tiping your boots inward or outward.  Basically, think of it as moving your knees closer together or further apart.  I put a bit of duct tape on the inside part of the boot sole (toe and heel) and it separates my knees.  Its simply a matter of alignment.  If you go and have your boots fitted by a pro, chances are, they'll cant you to get proper alignment.  For me, I usually end up playing with 2-3 strips of tape to see what works better for me.  You may see people who are knock-kneed, that have their knees close together... putting tape under your big toe on both feet, and under the inside of your heel on both feet where your boot contacts your binding, will set tip you out a bit and hopefully, separate your knees.  Hope that helps explain it.  The tape is gone now, but you can always try it with any pair of boots.

As far as the stiffness/softness, I'm trianing for my level 3 ski instructor and having a stiff boot just helps with all the micro-movement patterns that examiners are looking for.  A race boot will be more stiff and respond well to movements of the foot/ankle.  A softer flex boot will be more comfortable and probably less painful in the park.  These boots are still relatively stiff in the forward flex, so I'd call them a mid-flex boot, but they're not the "race fit" I'm looking for in my training boot.  I really enjoyed the Ace of Spades and once I'm done with Level 3, I'll probably go back to something similar, just for now, I need something stiff as hell.

Found more lenses in storage.  Smith I/O will now include Clear, Sol-x, Red Sensor Mirror, used Regular sensor mirror, Green Sol-x and red sol-x.  Offer up kiddos.

Bump, Tons of offers and y'all want something for nothing.  I/O with 6 lenses, lenses retail for 20-40 bucks minimum, do the math.  Not gonna take $100 shipped. for goggles and all the lenses....sheesh

Gonna keep the I/O for now, selling my Airbrakes.

Until I can get a new goggle, the I/O will be my daily.

Will be for sale again once I'm happy with a new daily.
