I know there are many threads on this ski but i haven't seen any on the 2013 model would like to know how they are in park mostly rails and also how they will grip on icy conditions (East coast Primarily). +++++K for Info
E-dollo seems to make light work of them in the park, my friend had last years model and found them good in the park mainly on jumps, but not bad on rails etc too
As you said there have been many threads like this. At least 5 or 6 in the past month. The ARV has remained unchanged. It's their most traditional ski really. Dig around on their website. I own and love the ski. They will do fine in the park.
Idk man I was thinking about it aswell but saw them in person and i guess you really cant center them. Also they really dont seem that durable with the constant rail contact and for the price just doesnt seem worth it but they are light as hell and look damn fun. I ended up going with the thalls,
is this ski gonna fall apart on me real fast if Im mainly hitting urban with it and some jumping? The ski looks so damn sick. How is the swing weight too?
Like any ski used for alot of urban it will fall apart eventually but It is Armadas last ski that's has full side wall. Not that pussy Cap or half cap shit. I say ARV is one of their better skis of their line.
I skied ARV's in the park for two seasons. If you aren't looking for a park specific ski then I would recommend them. They do great on rails and my only complaint would be that they are heavy and have a high swing weight so as long as you stick to mostly rails than I think you will enjoy them
