Hey guys! My school orchestra director told us to come up with suggestions for pieces to play in our winter concert. Can you guys give me suggestions? +k for suggestions with a good cello part! Since everybody in the orchestra is pretty good, don't be afraid to suggest some pretty hard pieces
dont know how to imbed, but seriously consider claire de lune by debussey. such a sick tune. for something longer, the firebird suite (i think thats what its called) by stravinski
Pachebel's Canon in D is one of my favourite pieces of music, and i reckon it would fit what youre looking for. Or if you want something a little different, Sibelius' Karelia Suite. its in three parts and each is quite different, would definitely be an impressive one.
Exogenesis Symphony.... one of the best pieces ever. If I don't play it in this orchestra, i'll find some friends to make a recording cause this shit is sick
