I'm excited for 1080 @ 60p but 2.7k+ is a little overboard for a gopro Half the kiddies with there parents computers are going to break iMovie with such hi res. The editing process would just be shitty @ 2.7k for just some meh follow cams.

Yea, they are going super professional, but think of how many times you see GoPros on TV (Discovery Channel, FOX, NBC, etc...) That is probably why they did it, not for the 9 year old crashing down the mountain
anybody know if they're still making premium accessories for the older cameras? i was gonna buy a wifi bacpac for my hero2 but then this came out and now they don't have the wifi bacpac on their site anymore...
