What do you guys think about all the features cypress has been posting up on facebook? http://www.facebook.com/cypress.mountain.resort?ref=ts&fref=ts do you think their park gonna be way better this year? and also the have that airbag thing which could be sick

cypress will always have a shitty park. All the features are for shitty snowboarders with sportchek boards and little kids. Even the pics of the new stuff they build, oh 8 foot rails and more flat boxes. They are clueless at building and maintaining lips and landings too. Never hit even a mediocre jump there, It seems like a team of mentally disabled people do everything. Rarely ever see the park crew grooming or fixing anything either, they're always just riding through doing indys and 50/50ing boxes.

cypress just got 2 cm and they say they'r testing out the snow guns and that more snow is to come

ya even tho cypress is shit im stoked they open pretty early with the snow guns. Now we may atleast get some early skiing in before grouse and seymour open

Just saw on their website that they're ordering a katal air bag.

These things are so sick:

I wonder how much they'll have it open for public... or if the lines for it would even be worth it? Makes me consider going to Cypress a lot more.

stoked katal got hooked up by cypress and sold an airbag

as for shitpress mountain
i doubt the management will pay the park crew for grooming. and im sure the airbag will have stupid hours.
like always, they will find a way to blow it.

Cypress posted on their Facebook this morning saying they'll be opening this Wednesday (Nov 14th).

"With last evening's 30 cm snowfall we are working to open as much terrain as possible for Wednesday. We have some wet weather forecast for the rest of today and tomorrow before clearing for Opening Day.

Upper Ricker's (Upper Fork), mid Jasey Jay, and lower Jasey Jay/Panorama received the most Man Made Snow and we expect them to be in excellent condition. We are hauling snow to mid Panorama and Easy Rider and may be able to open depending on the weather over the rest of today and tomorrow.

We plan to have several features open in the "Skate Park" on the Upper Mountain off Eagle Express - should be a good start up Park to get the rust out!

Cypress Coach Lines will be operating the Express Bus on a limited schedule to be announced later today"

Upper mountain as in its not right beside the parking lot correct? (Don't have a pass, thats why I ask)

sorry for triple post just wanted to mention that i went up today in the afternoon, the park is ok its one flat box followed by another flat box followed by a down rail and a down box then there is a mini hip with a flat box on top beside a step up and a up rail leading into a down rail. then there is a culvert canon.
it was snowwing the whole time and they where building the jump for the air bag. the quality was surprising for cypress

Is the park located close to the parking lot or do you have to get on the lift to get there/do they check passes?

Its at the top, right after you get off the only lift they are running (Eagle Express). They were checking passes on Sunday.

heading to cypress tomorrow from bellingham wa, baker has been closed for 2 days and will be closed tomorrow. snows too good to just sit at home.

how are the road conditions in van? worth the drive to cypress tomorrow?

if any of you make it to baker this winter give a brother a holla, i can show you around a bit.
