What are the main differences between the two skis? Why would you chose one over the other? What are the differences in stiffness and weight between the two? The two skis seem very similar so if you could tell me more about either one that would be great. Thanks
The ARV is traditional camber and I would put more trust into the ARV lasting longer then the Salomons. I haven't had very good luck with the durability in Salomon skis and my thalls haven't snapped yet on me in four year that I have had them.
Have both the rocker2 92 and the 11 ARVs in the shop and I would definitly recommend the ARVs. yes, they are fully positive cambered, but do you really need rocker for a ski this size? I also think that the ARV has a higher level of quality construction, and a smoother flex, but thats just my .02.
No. the rocker 2 92 is the old 2012, still symetrical (if i'm not mistaken) which would generally be considered more park oriented than a directional ski.
And to the Op i would go with the ARV for sure, quality construction, wide enough to be fun in soft snow, yet solid on trail and in jump lines.
