Interesting. Im actaully suprised that there are so many Americans high on that list considering how many rulers, king, emperors etc there have been over time. Im not suprised that they are on the list but that there are 4 of them in the top 10.

Gaddafi with 200 billion? that one surprises me the most

and im pretty sure Bill Gates doesnt have over 100 billion like it says. this cant be adjusted for inflation because he is still alive so its just wrong

yes i do. but someone who is alive still i would have thought would have their money now, not at the peak of their wealth. which means that inflation wouldnt affect the number because their money in 2012 dollars does not need to be adjusted for 2012 inflation

Keep in mind this is a VERY rough list. Also: note how there's no ancient people in here? There are some Romans (like Crassus, who pretty much owned whole of ancient Rome) and others that were INCREDIBLY wealthy.

Other people that are DEFINITELY missing on this list are Jacob Fugger and De Medici family. They should definitely be on this list and are for sure much wealthier than quite a few on this list.
